How to make a Sonic OC

A Sonic OC is an original fan character inspired by the Sonic universe. Start with a clear concept, then use species, colors and clothes to express it.

1. Choose a role and a species

Write one sentence about what your character does: a courier, inventor, explorer or rival. Choose an animal whose ears, tail or quills support that idea. Try species ideas.

2. Make the silhouette recognizable

Use one distinctive outline feature and keep small accessories simple. Compare the design at avatar size. A readable silhouette matters more than many decorative details.

3. Pick two main colors and an accent

Use the fur and outfit as the two big color areas. Put a smaller accent on a scarf, goggles or shoes. The builder lets you change each color independently.

4. Give the character a limitation

A strength becomes more interesting when it has a cost. A fast courier might struggle to ask for help. A skilled mechanic might overthink a simple repair. These choices belong to your own fan story.

5. Save both an image and the design
