Start with an anchor
Choose a species or palette that fits your concept. Lock it before randomizing so new combinations preserve your starting point.
Compare intentionally
If a result works, notice which change helped. A new accent or accessory may be enough; you do not need to replace every trait.
Use undo
Randomization is an exploration tool. Undo returns to earlier choices, and an editable backup protects the version you decide to keep.
